A 22-foot golden statue of Donald Trump, dubbed “Don Colossus,” was unveiled at Trump National Doral Miami in early May 2026, with the ceremony taking place on May 6.

The bronze statue, coated in gold leaf and weighing 3.1 tons, depicts Trump raising his fist in a pose echoing his appearance after the 2024 assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The statue was commissioned by cryptocurrency investors promoting the memecoin $PATRIOT and created by Ohio sculptor Alan Cottrill, who initially struggled to receive full payment but noted the gold leaf suggestion was immediately embraced.

Pastor Mark Burns, a longtime spiritual adviser to Trump, led a dedication ceremony, blessing the statue and insisting it was “not a golden calf” but a symbol of “resilience, freedom, and patriotism.”
